Teddy Minnis: Harvard Legend
Meet Teddy Minnis, arguable Harvard’s most consistent 20 season-win coach. And he does it coaching both women AND men, in……water polo? Water polo? How do a bunch of skinny Harvard geeks parade into the pools of California, and consistently shock the gods and goddesses of that gladiatorial sport? Well, with a smile and more good cheer than one could ever bottle.
Teddy grew up as an outlier in the public pools of Palo Alto, showed an early propensity to win and win always, coached his junior teams to National Championships and Junior Olympic fame, and then left it all for sunny Cambridge and Blodgett Pool, where he has resided for 11 years. And nothing is as it should be with Teddy, meaning he has undefeated regular seasons, shuts-out opponents, wins the Northeast Water Polo Conference, smacks Cal-Berkeley, and, and, and.
Teddy’s is a story of not knowing limits or expectations or stereotypes. Just knowing excellence. Listen to this talk, and you will become a follower.
