Veteran’s Day with Major General Jeffrey Milhorn
In honor of our Veterans during Veterans Week, we are privileged to welcome Major General Jeffrey Milhorn to the Club. General Milhorn is Commanding Officer, US Army Corps of Engineers, North Atlantic Division. As such, he is currently responsible for disaster relief involving the US Military in the Northeastern US, Europe and Africa.
A two-star General in the US Army has many specialties and a varied background. With degrees in civil engineering, construction engineering and security, from the Universities of Florida, Texas, and Harvard, respectively, General Milhorn knows how to blow things up, and put them back together. His training is in small unit infantry combat tactics in woodland, mountain and swamp operations. His specialties include breaching, demolitions, bridge-building, and mine-field clearance. He has had many postings in the US and abroad, responding to civilian disasters and Taliban incursions, with staff and operations experience in places like Kabul, Jalalabad and Nepal (earthquake relief).
In short, this is the guy who jumps out of a plane at zero dark thirty, and rises out of a swamp in face-black.
